Hello there panto go-ers!

Nurse Nanny Nora here, ready to share some nanny-licious stories with you in the run up to the panto.

Well the day has come when all the cast get together and start the process of creating the best panto you have ever seen .

We all have our scripts…so that’ll come in useful when we need to get the fire going.

Everyone is very excited…the principle boy who is, of course, a girl……(I think) looks dashingly handsome. She’s got legs up to her armpits! That’ll keep the dad’s interested!

Then there’s the baddie, Carabosse who is so nasty I think she has been taking lessons from George Osborne!

The lovely Beauty, our principle girl is just an angel - well her head’s in the clouds anyway!

Josh, the funny one and the children’s favourite (who looks like he has just left primary school) is trying out some of his new inventions and the gorgeous good fairy Azuriel will grant your every wish……. well the less said about that the better.

Finally, there’s the adorable King Bumble…….A lovely chubby little man. I think he’s got the hot’s for me!

Oh well the Director has turned up so I had better show willing and let him know who’s boss!

Hello there panto go-ers!

Nurse Nanny Nora here, ready to share some nanny-licious stories with you in the run up to the Panto!.

This week, I am thinking about my wardrobe and make-up.
As you know, I do have a wonderful array of outfits and I intend to give most of them an outing during the panto run. They range from the outrageously grotesque to the unbelievably stupid. Just the way I like them.
It is, however, Halloween so I will be looking out my black dress, pointy hat and broomstick….Yes I’m going out as Ann Widdecombe.

What with Halloween and then Guy Fawkes, there are so many parties to go to. Inevitably, I will get through a lot of make-up so I will probably have to stock up my panto supply. Just to be safe, I’d better order another tanker of foundation, two more drums of mascara and three dozen more ‘Red Fiesta’ lipsticks.

I got some great news from my gusset maker - my corset is nearing completion. I just hope the Naval Dockyard in Portsmouth don’t get another order for a battleship before they finish it…

With my exercise regime in full swing, I am now thinking about what…. and how much I eat. I have to stay trim and ready for the exhausting schedule ahead. There is no problem about over eating as King Bumble eats most of the food around here and we have to make do with leftovers.

I do like to dabble in the kitchen; I take my inspiration from Nigella. She has two prominent features we all love and envy!!….No I’m not talking about those two features...
I’m talking about her ability to turn leftovers into delicious a la carte dishes…and her ability to look sensational while she’s doing it. I aim to do both of those things; Cook some delicious dishes for the King and…let him savour my amazing dumplings!Well, if it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for me!

Hello there panto go-ers! Nurse Nanny Nora here, ready to share some nanny-licious stories with you in the run up to the panto.
It has been a long year and the many weeks since our panto last year have taken their toll on the figure. So, my exercise regime is now in full swing. When panto starts again in December, we will be doing two shows a day and having a sherry or three in the evening so it takes plenty of stamina and staying power to make it through the run.My routine is quite demanding; I take my daily run in the morning around the palace grounds, through the palace orchard and back through the narrow underground passages beneath the palace. By doing that, I get fresh air, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed! Mind you, it is going well - I’ve only had to be carried back five times and this morning, I was resuscitated twice by the King himself! I enjoyed it so much I’m going to try it again tomorrow!
In any event, I should be ready for the start of rehearsals in November.Well, I best be off, I am actually going on my hols this week, I am off to Southam. I don’t like to go too far - I like to know I can still get a cup of PG Tips and a Sunday roast!
